COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A foreign-style stout - hearty, full bodied and strong with a smooth roasted malt finish. Lots of caramel malt and roasted barley give this beer it’s character. A popular winter brew and a good compliment to one of our rich chocolaty desserts

On tap @ Dempsey’s. Almost black pour with a tan head. Roasted malt, oatmeal cookies, chocolate, vanilla, and coffee on the nose. Some ash, licorice, and a touch of dark fruit. Nice sweetness of cookie dough and vanilla. Some dark chocolate, mild fruits as well. Licorice, roast, and a nice coffee note. Pretty decent.

From a bomber from Bottle Barn. Pours dark brownish black like a cola; nice foamy head; copious lacing. Aroma is basic malt, flavor basically the same malty sweetness. Hop is present, but pretty mild. Rather thin and dry. Astringent finish. Not a favorite stout, but quite drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours deep copper-brown with a ruby center and a tan head. Roasted malt and cappuccino notes, with a whisper of overripe fruit in the back end. Flavor is watered down mocha, some vanilla and toasted bread, minimal bitterness. Could use some body but otherwise their best offering I’ve had.

22 oz. bottle from Hayduke. He, I, and his brother Rick enjoyed it together via facebook chat. This pours almost black and has a big tan head that has a bit of red in it. The nose is fudge with milk chocolate and nuts. The flavor is also chocolate with some nuts and a bit of roasted effect. It reminds me of a Guinness but with more chocolate. It has that feel to it. There is a bit of hop notes here that are grassy and citrus and add some faint bitterness. Very late in the bottle some grass could be tasted. This is a nice beer. It leaves Guinness in the dust.

Bomber from Bottle Barn. Pours really dark brown with a creamy/bubbly tan head. Aroma of dark malt and something that makes me think cow patty. Sorry. Med body, maybe. Flavor is something toffee, coffee, dark malt, a bit hoppy. Develops chocolate. Finishes more chocolate than anything else. Not spectacular, but nice. Killing with faint praise. Hey, it’s better than most stouts!

On tap at dempseys, aroma of caramel malt, coffee and alcohol. Pours a clear dark brown/light black with small cream color head. Taste of a good rich cup of coffee, malt and medium bitterness. Full bodied with light/moderate carbonation, nice clean finish. Overall a good, Easy drinking stout. Nice on a cold day like today.
