Very nice head, red golden. Classic nose with grapefruit, spruce, and a freshness. Medium body and some length. Taste is grapefruit, lemon, dry-bitter spruce. Very nice and harmonic. Not overwhelmingly powerfull.

(50 cl bottle from Vinens Verden; batch #3 BBD 070912; This batch has simcoe hops in addition to cascade and centennial according to the staff at Vinens Verden) Pours a hazy golden with intensely frothy white head. Good retention. Aroma is a low to moderate floral hoppiness. Lively carbonation, watery texture, medium body and a dry, bitter finish. Taste is moderately bitter but quite easily drinkable compared to the more potent IPA’s.

7th August 2011 Dean Swift - RBESG Tasting. Light haze on this amber beer. Big off white head. Light palate, dry but fresh. Ok pale malt. Mild but fruity and grassy hops. Trace of marmalade. Light fresh finish. Not bad at all.
