From tap @ De Heeren van Liedekercke. Lacing white head. Orangey golden body. Nice citrussy/floral hop aroma. A note of honey. Much of the same flavorwise. Balanced malt body, rounded bitterness. Oranges and flowers for flavoring. Quite filling. Lingering fruity bitterness i the ending. Good, indeed.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big white head. Hazy deep yellow body. Strawy grainy herbal aroma. Dry-sweet herbal floral strawy taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy grainy strawy aftertaste with herbal grassy notes. Some butter and caramel as it warms. Nice. A raw materials-tasting beer, as it were. Well made and lots of character. 3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
10/11/11/10/12/11

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Draught at De Heeren van Liedekercke) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma was spicy, fruity and hoppy. Palate was medium bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, hops, malts, herbalness and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter and fruity. Nice crisp beer which was pleasant to drink and it didn’t turn boring at all. At HvL they brought also pieces of cheese which was prepared using the beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of Joost. Consumed right after the Heeren Bier. Pours medium orange with a white head. Nice, soft balance between a prominent Belgian yeast, light, fresh grassy hops, candied oranges, and some tangy kind of spiciness. Nice stuff, wish my notes were a bit more descriptive.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, courtesy of the fine folks at De Heeren van Liedekercke. Upon lifting the cap, bubbly foam starts to slowly creep up the neck of the bottle, oozing out from the opening. Pouring swiftly but carefully yields a stratified body that shows a dark golden hue, and a hazy gradient that starts out clear at the top and gets progressively more cloudy towards the bottom. A tall head of off-white froth settles slowly to a patchy, clumpy layer, leaving thick, hard patches of lacing that cling strongly to the glass. The aroma shows a lightly sweet, clean, grainy malt billing with notes of straw, perfumy flowers, oxidized fruit malts, and bitter, dry grass. Flavors follow the same lines, sweeter than expected, big on glazed cereal, straw, and grain, yet nicely hopped with an aged, grassy, floral bitterness. Finishes clean, crisp, and hoppy, with a little bit of honey for balance. The body is substantial but well balanced and moderately carbonated. It’s maybe a little too sweet, but not disagreeably so. Good, hoppy golden ale. This would pair well with a wide range of foods.
