JorisPPattyn (6729) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 18, 2008
Very clear amber-copper with a small white rim. Very fruity, fresh nose with lunaria, wild fruit, fresh green cuttings; Dull-sweet taste, grainy and more cookies, but not oxydized in character. Diluted liqueur. Dull finish, beer seems dead, light to medium bodied. What’s the opposite of exciting? Still, the nose wasn’t bad, but where is the wheat?

Bottle, 33 cl. Thx to William. Hazy dark-golden color, with off-white head. Aroma spice, malts. Medium body. Taste bit caramel, sweet, fruits, some coriander, little bitterness ending. Strange they call this "Tarwe", it’s not like other wheatbeers.

(Bottled) Very hazy golden-orange with a smallish head. Mild, slightly cardboardy aroma with mild spiciness. Slightly sweet and caramely, fruity flavor with some coriander spiciness in the finish. Medium-bodied, soft-carbonated palate. Another solid product from this brewery. Nothing mind-blowing, but easily drinkable and with a nice body.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour with small beige head. Aroma is hay, spices and some slight citrus. Flavour is fruits, hay, yeast and some quite sugary sweetness. Rather "witbier meets bock", or something like that feeling to it. Interesting brew.

330ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Belgian Week 2008)
Not your usual wheat. Darker, a fairly rich brown. Almost bocky - full bodied, some spicyness - in the aroma. A bit of urinal cake too. Soft carbonation. Full-bodied taste, again almost like a German bock. A little nutty, but also a little thin.
