Den Hopperd Donatus

Bottle Hazy to muddy brown body. Creamy off-white, lightly brown head. Nice looks. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and a fair amount of exotic fruits (pineapple, melon, ..) Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour mainly of roasted malts. Ok flavour, very well balanced although not very complex.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at One Pint on 2008-05-31) Dark ruby red. Hazy. Malts and some hops in nose, Small white dense taste. Full and dry palate. Chocolate in taste and some hops, malts and caramell, too.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, deep amber golden with a dense, beige head leaving some laces. Aroma of Port and overripe fruit. Medium body with accents of overripe fruit, yeast, burned caramel and some phenols. No real bitterness. 160408

Hazy amber with large beige head. Sweet fruity aroma with malty an spicy notes. Sweet flavor with spicy and caramel notes.

Bottle. Clear orange coloured with an off white ehad. Sweet aroma of dried fruits and fruits with notes of spices and caramel. Sweet flavour of dried fruits, fruits, marzipan, caramel and hops with notes of alcohol. Dry hoppy finish.
