Bottle Hazy to muddy brown body. Creamy off-white, lightly brown head. Nice looks. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and a fair amount of exotic fruits (pineapple, melon, ..) Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour mainly of roasted malts. Ok flavour, very well balanced although not very complex.

Bottle. Clear orange coloured with an off white ehad. Sweet aroma of dried fruits and fruits with notes of spices and caramel. Sweet flavour of dried fruits, fruits, marzipan, caramel and hops with notes of alcohol. Dry hoppy finish.

(BBE 7/09) Deep dark-red colored with little light brown head. Sweet and caramelly, plummy aroma with berries and thin licorice too, good aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is also sweet with similar plum dominating, licorice also here. Aftertaste dries with yeast and carbonation, thin vinous note also here. Well, I like this.

Bottle 33cl.
Clear medium red amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty notes, moderate yeasty, sharp. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (010808)

Bottle, 33 cl. (yesterday afternoon taste @ home; Bought Willems) Dark brown color, with an beige head. Aroma low roasted malts, caramel. Medium body. Taste is sweet, bit spice, roasted malts with a alcoholic feeling. Finish a bit sticky and dry. Not bad.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at One Pint on 2008-05-31) Dark ruby red. Hazy. Malts and some hops in nose, Small white dense taste. Full and dry palate. Chocolate in taste and some hops, malts and caramell, too.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, deep amber golden with a dense, beige head leaving some laces. Aroma of Port and overripe fruit. Medium body with accents of overripe fruit, yeast, burned caramel and some phenols. No real bitterness. 160408

33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy brown with a fully diminished off-white head. Light spiced and caramel malt with a light yeast note. Mild caramel malt and with a light chocolate note into the far finish. Light bitterness and spiced flavour into the far finish.

Présence d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de céréales grillées avec une pointe d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. (Bottled) Hazy dark reddish-brown with a small, but lasting head. Very fruity and caramely aroma with faint licorice hints and some dubbel character. Grainy-toffee-malty, candy-sugary flavor with piney bitterness, and, lots of metal and some homebrewish, vegetably harshness - at least when cold. Medium body with slightly fizzy carbonation. Not the most pleasant or clean Belgian.
