Surprised to see an American Red Indian on the label of this Belgian IPA: I guess it’s because of the American hops used in the brew. Anyway I had a glass of this at the 2014 Brugge Beer Festival and I really enjoyed it. Deep blond to golden in body with a white-ish head. The nose had a citrus lead with some sweeter fruit esters too. Taste wise it was again on the citrus side but not as pronounced as in the aroma. The lemon flavour being subdued by a mild maltiness and yeast hint. Good bitter finish to each sip: a good and balanced IPA, American or not.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2014 (backlog) 75cl bottle sample @ZBF 2013, Day1. Upfront and in-your-nose maracuja perfume from the Mosaic hops. Merges into sweet pineapple taste, relatively smooth velvet palate, slightly unbalanced with alcoholic remnants and a quick finish./ Rerate bottle 75cl, 1st Freiburg Tr-state tasting 05/2014: melon and peach aroma, whiff of alcohol. Muddled amber-orange appearance. Slightly thin for its abv. Same rating +0,1: 8-2-7-2-14.

750ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Lemon, yea, yeast and grapefruit in the aroma. Lemon, soapy hops and tea in the taste. Not quite as hoppy as I was expecting it to be.
