COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abaddon is the counterpart to our winter seasonal, the Hibernale. Each batch of this Belgian style beer was brewed with 666 pounds of pilsner malt, which is in keeping with the Belgian tradition of naming this devious style beer after Beelzebub himself. We balanced the fiendish malt bill with an ample dose of continental hops for a true Belgian experience.

Sampled at the ’12 GABBF. Clear golden color with an off white head. Clean, crisp yeasty nose with some belgian sugar sweetness. Floral, fruity beer with warming alcohol, some pear and a clean yeast flavor. Really nice beer.

On tap @ Cafe Amsterdam. Light golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of apple, earthy yeast, sugar and some light alcohol. Flavor is sweet light sugary malt, some tart yeast and a bit of spiciness. Medium body with average carbonation and a long smooth finish. Reminds me of Duvel, very good and the alcohol is very well hidden.

Draft at GABBBf. Cloudy variegated amber color, thick brown head, good retention, solid lacing. Aroma of spiced apple skins and rhubarb. Taste is plums, raisins, dates,peacehs - a real fruit explosion. Good stuff.
