Sampled from the tap at FOBAB 2012. Pours a hazy pale gold with a large white head that lasts throughout the year. Aroma is very funk forward with barnyard and horse blanket with underlying sour lemon. Flavor is also very funk forward but the sourness comes through with a hint of lemon and backing wood.

On tap at the source... Pours an effervescent hazy lemony orange hue and topped with a thin film of wispy white head... Aroma ... Flavors of semi-tart oak and lemon accents with a touch of grapefruit. The initial has an odd woody old fruit. It’s that throws things off. Lighter than medium bodied with semi-lively carbonation. Pretty refreshing though.

Sampled at FoBAB 10 - 2012 (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich yellow straw hue, gentle haze, big cakey white head. Aromas banana and spice, gentle straw and grass, spice. Gentle tartness. Initial is gentle banana and sweetness, touch tart funk and brett. Gentle spice. Middle is sweeter and wheaty, with oak, gentle spice. Vanilla, creamy tart fruit. Backend is gentle sweetness, a touch tart, apple, dry brett and straw, grass. Meh. Lacks character. Serviceable mellow sour, gentle flavors, solid offering but a bit bland and boring overall. Perhaps more nuanced than I was looking for.

Growler from the brewery. Slightly hazy yellow/orange with a small white head that fades quickly. Aroma of bright funk, wet wood, lemony citrus and light barnyard. Flavor is sour yeast, with very light malt presence and some citrus hops. Light body with mellow carbonation and a dry, refreshing finish. This is a very light, slightly sour, citrusy beer, easy to drink lots of this.
