COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium bodied Belgian with hints of gingerbread, nuts, chocolate and toast. Cascade and East Kent Golding hops lightly support pilsner, brown and munich malts, which blend well with an assertive though not over the top Belgian abbey yeast and a soft touch of lavender that is noticeable in both the aroma and the finish. Overall, a characterful session ale that reminds us that the big beers of winter are just around the corner.

On tap @ Twister Creek. Hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is heavily spiced with coriander, perfume, oranges and some musty yeast. Flavor is pretty light for the base beer but the spices come on strong and zesty. Light to medium body with average carbonation and a long, spiced finish. This beer would be good if the spices were cut in half, way too much spice.

Great Alaska Beer And Barleywine Fest 2011. Foggy golden color/ ivory head. Big ass lavender, coriander, spicy, herbal aromas with some pale malt. medium bodied. Nice herbal, spearmint, lavender, coriander, earthy hop, pale malt flavors--good.

Sampled at the ’11 GABBF. Golden color with a foamy off white head. Very complicated floral, spicey nose with lavender, spruce and corriander. They floral nature of this beer continues in the taste. Spruce, lavender, bitter orange peel, and camomile. Fascinating beer.
