COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When it was discovered that hops not only added bitterness and aroma to beer, but made it last longer too, British brewers created the IPA style to survive the long voyage to India, where her majesty’s thirsty troops awaited unspoiled ale. Twister Creek IPA combines the finest Pacific Northwest and British hops atop a foundation malty enough to balance its 71 IBUs. High octane, full-flavored, well-balanced. This is the beer you’ve been thirsty for.

Draught at Alaska Lodge (Sea-Tac Airport)
Hazy golden color with creamy head. The hop aroma is well present, fruity and lightly animal. Lean body; the malt flavor is good and delicate, a good background for the powerful hopping as it doesn’t hide it. good fruit and manure character, quite fresh.
Nice beer, well drinkable.

Hazy light blonde. Thin head. Fresh limey, overripe fruit character. Light bready pale malt character, and finishing with a touch of bready/tannic.

On tap @ Alaska Lodge (SEA-TAC). Golden colored beer with white foam. Nose is kind of citrusy, but a weird wet bread, musty malt aroma. Some pine, earth, and flowers as well. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side. A lot of bread and toasted grain. Some orange, a hint of grapefruit, and earthy bitterness. Lightly floral and piney.

Can:   Pale golden, light carbonation, moderate to large foamy white head, nice lacing.   Citrusy nose, pith and peel, slight tea leaves.   Similar on the tongue, not overly bitter, faint citrus peel and pith.   Not all that bitter, unlike what the nose suggests.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Tea leaves and citrus pith on the finish.   Smells a bit more vibrant than it comes across.   Decent little IPA tho, despite not being all that hoppy.

Draft at SB. Pours a hazy orange-ish medium amber with a dense and creamy off-white head that hangs around for a while. Bright grapefruity nose, both sweet and a bit piercing. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel with grapefruit notes showing. Gets a bit dry at the end, but not acetic or twangy at all. This is another horse in a much-contested race; the semi-resiny, semi-fruity IPA market is a tough one in this area and these guys deserve a shot at the title. It’s not quite a world-beater in its current form, but it’s pleasant and easy-drinking.

"Well balanced with caramel and a touch of bready malt, but definitely hop forward and fresh. 55/38 at RB and I can’t for the life of me see why. This bee used that variety of hop that while sweet, has a slight onion and garlic twang to it, and it’s really hitting the spot. Citrus and pine flavors in there too. Drinks big for 6.5%

Copper glowing body with a very thin off-white head. Lightish hop aroma with a nice slightly fruity nose. Medium-bodied; Fairly typical brewpub IPA with some bitter notes, a relatively good balance of malt and hops and a fairly bitter hop finish. A typical beer that you’d expect from an operation this size, but nothing bad at all. Definitely worth trying and I’m happy I sampled this beer here! I sampled this pint on draught at the brewpub in Talkeetna, Alaska on 26-June-2010.
