muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Apr 28, 2005 750 ml bottle shared with Capflu, Goldorak, beerbuzzmontreal, Boutip and DumDum at the Ciderwinder tasting in Ottawa. Clear medium amber-yellow, fizzy with a big cork pop...champagne-like dry nose with little apple...light mostly sour, dry flavors, only a touch of sweetness at the finish...decent light French-style sparkler, but I probably won’t remember it. Goldorak (427), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 26, 2005 Pale lager yellow (Rosée means dew, if it were reddish I suppose they have called it Rosé, without the extra "e"). It had a fizzy ring of lace, not really like sparkling wine, but almost.
CO2 aroma, like a cheap bottle of Mumm’s, with a side of metallic...strange indeed. I actually liked it.
This one tasted like peel, but sort of neutral, very acidic and dry. You could replace sparkling wine with this and no one would make the difference, so if you like the bubbly, chances are this one is for you. beerbuzzmontreal (2747), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 26, 2005 Pours a clear gold with a fizzy head. Aroma and flavor of apples with a dry presence and a bitter finish. Lively carbonation. Boutip (1815), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Apr 25, 2005 Bottle: Poured a sparkling yellow color cider with champagne-like sweetness. Quite dry with again a champagne-like texture. Quite complex with notes of sourness. CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Apr 24, 2005 (750ml bottle) A mildly fizzy, white head with a lightly carbonated golden body filled with minute sediment. Dry and acidic nose though the flavour comes through with more complexity - displaying a decent earthy tone. Very good. Many thanks to whomever brought this!
