This is the best wheat beer that I have had (well besides Aventinus, and this is different). Murky yellow color. Banana, fruit, banana, bubble-gum and banana aroma that reaches over into taste. Ends sweet and quick. I could drink this all day.

473 ml can via trade with Brigadier - Pours a hazy light golden color with a medium size white head. Faint lacing. Aroma is esters, spice, and a hint of vegetables. Flavor is esters, spice, light yeast, and herbal hops. Has a little bit of a fizz to the finish. A nice beer. Thanks Nathan.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2003 Re-rating to reflect the new Mill St. version, although it's really not very different, and my numerical ratings haven't changed. I'm SO glad that this beer has been revived after the closure of Denison's Brewpub earlier this year. It remains a world class example of it's style, with the classic banana and clove combo in the aroma, wonderful fruit and yeast in the flavour, and that amazingly crisp and lingering finish that keeps you coming back for more. I can't wait for patio season to start so I can sit in the sun on a warm afternoon and enjoy a pint or two (or three...) of this. Ahhhhhh...

HAve heard good things about this beer. By the moment I had my nose a little blocked, so maybe I couldn’t taste it properly. IT has the correct orange features in the taste. VEry cloudy. Thin foam with an aftertaste new to me and a little alcoholic.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2009 On tap at the Cool Beer Co. Brewery. Aroma is a cold lemon peel, lemoncello, and alcohol. Pours a very cloudly, darker than expected golden, with a minimal white head. Flavor is light and sweet. Good, strong lemon characters, over a thick, chewy wheatiness. A long finish in fun hops, spiciness, and creamed malt character. Delicious. I think this is solid, but not mind-blowing. The yeast characters are great. The wheat good, the hops nice, the beer refreshing, but it doesn’t break any Hefe barriers. It’s just a damn good, solid example. On further thought, the most astounding feature of this beer is its finish. It just goes on and on in rich lemon, wheat, and spice complexity. There’s just a depth of finish flavor that I don’t get with other Hefes.

Can thanks to blutt59. I see the ratings, so the can must be different. Pours a light, cloudy yellow with fast fading white fizzy head. Aroma is fairly simple, light citrus and faint banana. Flavor is the same as aroma. Mouth feel is light body, watery, with high carbonation. Overall, a pretty simple, basic Hef.

Can thanks to blutt59. The look is cloudy, has a white head, and golden in color. The smell is very wheaty, clove, and a weird sweetness. The taste is wheat, sweet, and clove.

Can thanks to Aaron for the pour! Pour is very nice hazy light orange-yellow with thin head that dissipates really quickly. Aroma brings notes of spicy yeast, hints of banana and biscuit but really on the spicy clove side of it. Taste is really full of spicy clove and cinnamon flavors, hints of biscuit and slight fruit notes but they are really subdued, finishes a bit spicy as well.
