Hazy golden pour with large billowy head. Aromas of banana, wheat and coriander. Taste is amazing and is the benchmark for this style. Good job!

Big thanks to viggo for handing this out as an extra and to Azurelimits for bringing a can to a recent tasting. A: Pours a hazy, light yellow-gold with a nice white head. S: A bit of banana and bubblegum in the nose, but nothing too overpowering in either direction. A nice delicate balance. T: Banana, bubblegum, and some soft wheat characteristics. Everything is pretty delicate, but overall a very good flavor. M: Light and creamy. Good carbonation and very refreshing. D: A very, very nice drinkable brew. Something that would definitely be a summer staple of mine if I had regular access. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 05-03-2010

Growler. Aroma of banana, clove, lemon, yeast, very faint lactic acid and plenty of esters. Solid, opaque golden yellow color, quite a lot of yeast in this one. Lemony, fruity flavors abound, again just slightly lactic and quite spicy, especially on the finish. Very nice and one of the better German Wheats I've sampled to date.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2003 Cloudy orange color. Great aroma of orange, banana, light fruit and even bubblegum. Some hints of yeast and a very light spiciness. The body is spritzy with a light roasted hop beginning. Dries quickly towards the end and is somewhat light. There isn't any tartness but there is a light tangy quality rounded with some orange notes. Very nice wheat, welcome back.

A nice hazy golden yellow with decent head formation from a growler. The aroma had a nice banana scent, a bit of clove, and a yeasty liveliness. The flavor also had a strong banana character, but was not as sweet as most beers that I am familiar with in this style. Smooth maltiness, a bit of spice and nice carbonation make for a tasty beer.

Great wheat aroma. Cloudy golden colour. First taste is fabulous, wheat, malt, spices, and bananas. Last drop is still fabulous. Wonderful tongue tingle, extra smooth. Excellent.

Tap @ Volo. Cloudy yellow/orange. White champagne head. Nose is bananna, lemon, yeast, spicy, some breadiness. Flavor is bananna, clove, yeast, fruitiness. Yeasty/bready finish that sticks around. Nice!

On draft at Beer Bistro. Hazy deep yellow in colour with strong carbonation. Full on blast of banana, clove, and vanilla in the mouth, with a slightly lemony undertone. This typical German hefeweizen formula of banana, clove and mild lemony citrus is executed perfectly in the mouth, along with some added mineral-like complexity. Full wheaty mouthfeel, yet still quite refreshing. Totally worth the hype.
