Sampled at the Milwaukee YEHa!05 courtesy of JPDIPSO: Pours a clear copper bronze with a thin ring of white head. Nice, authentic Belgian yeasty aroma has some sweet bready malt and a touch of peppery spice. Starts with a dry grainy crystal maltiness tending toward an earthy, lightly sticky finish. Needs more sweet, biscuity Belgian malt.

Sadly, Wisconsin beer #300. Clear, opulent medium-orange color with a dusty attic head. Fiercely catastrophic aroma made up of coriander and shavings off an Irish Spring soap bar. Pepper and paprika? Shit. Flagrant, harsh hitting force pummels the palate. Clover floral dance and vanilla cotton blossoms. Effervescence (initially) gives way to a cover story for the alcohol presence. Scratchy chords and ceaseless secondary droning by imitation vanilla extract. What on earth were they thinking? Thanks for bringing the bottle, JPDIPSO.

Thanks to John. Pours to a golden bronze color with no head. The aroma is estery and sweet toasted caramel. The flavor is woody pale malts and sweet toasted caramel.

Bottle. Dark golden to bronze color with a small lid of off white bubbles. Sugar coated roses, mild pale malt and barnyard aromas. resins and esters also abound. Smooth sweet start. Very floral flavors mix with Special B and a dry candi flavor. Light spice and dry malts mix later in the quaff. Some tree bark and wood seem to dry out the flavors the farther you get into this one. Not a bad effort, just not balanced. This reminds me of some of the funky brews out of the Netherlands for some reason.

Festival tap: Cloudy dark yellow with massive sugar nose, alcohol still peeks through. Some funky yeast flavors and pale malts. Dry from alcohol at finish. Estery banana notes in the aftertaste.
