Cask, Banbury Beer Festival Fri 23rd March 2007. As it say’s chesnut in colour, standard fruity beer lacking in aroma, though to be fair the fact that it was very cold may not have helped much, little bit chewy ok beer.

On draught at The Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Clear orangey amber with a creamy offwhite head. Toffee and fruit aroma. Good fruity bitterness meeting a nice toffee base.

Caskl conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest 07. Chestnut with off white head. The beers warmed up a little on the Saturday thankfully. This was a moderate fruity bitter with some boiled veg notes in the background. A fuller fruitier body. Ok but nothing special.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Dark yellow, scum top. Some malty flavour, which hints at lemon. Not much of anything going on here: just a general warm bitterness and papery aroma.
