Cask, 1st Hinckley Beer Festival. Puzzling interpretation of real lager with distinct strawberry, mint and horseradish notes. Octo managed to see it off. Fruity and difficult.

Cask in the strands hotel, nether wasdale. Alround rating: Pale malts, slightly grainy cereal character, but grassy and citrus hopes help herpahs herbal as it grows. Fairly decent effort.

Cask gravity at Nottingham BF 2007. Gold, thin white head. Bit of cardboard, bit of herby hop. Cask conditioned lager. Fairly bland, some lager hop flavour on end. Inoffensive.

Pint pulled at The Woolpacker Inn near Boot (Lake District), a light gold, very lively, with a thick white head. A ligth but fruity hop aroma. A crisp and clean palate, fruity and hoppy, almost ciderish.

Gravity Cask @ Waterloo Arms Beer Festival. Overly fruity pot pourri. Light bodied and drinkable but not entirely pleasant.

Gravity, General Elliot BF, South Hinksey, Oxford. Light copper, just a bit of white foam. Gentle berries, a bit of marmalade. Slightly warm malt--a bit on the chewy side, blackberries. Just okay.

Cask conditioned at the Market Porter, Southwark. Very pale yeallow. Sweet and fruity with a touch of citrus fruit and vinegar. Some tea. Not really an authentic German beer.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Pale gold, white head. Malt, cream aroma. Smooth vanilla malt, with more malt in finish. Friendly, smooth mouthfeel. Hints of strawberry in the malt. I actually rather enjoyed this and found it to be an especially pleasant example of this maligned style.
