2.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
EH. Nothing special. Cloudy-yellow haze. Fizzy yellow/peach head. Smelled of Belgian yeast. Very banana spiced taste but finished like water. Good for a summer day, NO finish, NO complexity.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught pint at DBA on 1/13/07
Small, but modestly retained white head tops a light tangerine-peach colored yellow body that shows a gentle haziness. Medium-sized bubbles rise steadily, light specks of lacing are left on the glass.
Soft, yet lightly invigorating fruit esters are found in the nose (nectarines, apricots) alongside a gentle orange essence note. Light honeyish malt begins to come through but encounters some problems along the way in the form of dry, almost papery, breadiness. It’s not too apparent and I have no idea what it is, but it disrupts the overall crispness and lightness of the nose. Not much in the way of coriander and only a bit of vanilla-like fluffiness. Orange juice and light acidity from the yeast linger on. No alcohol noted, moderate strength of aroma overall.
Very dry in flavor, without the big burst of fruitiness of hoegaarden. Still, the fruit does come on, pricking at the sides of the palate daintily and with a modestly engaging dose of carbonation, it manages to refresh well enough. Light honeyish malts provide a fair enough body, but I still find an off note of paper or nuttiness or something that I can’t nail down. It’s stale and quite unpleasant, despite being only somewhat apparent. In a very delicate style, it’s tough to allow any coarse maltiness or strange yeast notes without it having a big impact on the overall crispness/drinkability. Still, not bad stuff by any means, but nothing to add to what we already have from Hoegaarden.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy golden colour with particles floating around and a pillowy white head. Musty aroma with light spice. Blance of flavours that sweet. Too watery of a palate

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled this from clarkvv’s glass at d.b.a last weekend in the city. Tasted pretty good, so I decided to taste the bottle I have udner the more bland yellow label than what is listed to the left. combined notes. Pours a nice lightly cloudy golden yellow with some small yeasties floating around- good fluffy thing white head. Aroma is lightly cspicy with phenols, clove, pepper, and coriander with a nice sweet wheat hint. Good smooth flavor and palate, although it is a bit thinner than many wits- good wheat profile, lightly spiced, and easy drinking. Just a bit too thin and watered down. Tap was much better than the bottle btw.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This yellow witbier poured with a miniscule white head that quickly disappeared. The flavor is thin and sweet, with the traditional orange peel and coriander spicing. There is a considerable amount of grain floating in the bottle, most of which ends up in ones glass. This one is drinkable, but there are several better witbiers.
