Brown flip-top half-litre bottle, best before 8 Jan 2010, drank three days later (11 Jan 2010), so just out of date. Poured three times into a 0.2 litre Veltins stemmed tulip glass. Each pour produced a good looking copper coloured beer with a fine deep off-white head Plenty of life to be seen, bubbles rising throughout the tasting, so lots of carbonisation. The body was almost clear, just the hint of a haze. Fairly malty in the smell, a sweet molasses type aroma I suppose. Not sickly, but on the sweet side. The sweetness from the malty aroma carried on into the taste. A little on the fizzy side, all those bubbles mentioned in the apperance attack you as you sip the beer. The beer dried somewhat in the aftertaste, but appeared full bodied and well balanced for a lager based beer. I enjoyed this beer a lot better than my first beer from this brewery, thank goodness, because I have more to review. They export to the UK, but I don’t think anywhere else.

Bottle from Bierzwerg webshop. Hazy light brown color with small white head. Aroma of malt, grain. Taste, sweet malty, fruity notes. Bittersweet finish. Not tasty beer.

Bottle at the pond, style tick.... Pours amber with very short lasting head, fizzles to nothing. Weak aroma of bread, caramel, metal. Similar taste, fairly unpleasant. Sticky palate. Struggled with this, not my bag

Grima (2230) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - DEC 23, 2011
Pours a golden blond beer with a red tint and a nice fine head. It smells malty-sweet, very grainy, slightly yeasty and sourish. Starts sweet and yeasty-malty-grainy, slightly acidic in the background. The middle part is very yeasty, fruity, slightly fermented, again pleasantly grainy. Goes to a fruity-fermented, slightly bready and hoppy finish!

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Slightly hazy copper color with quickly vanishing head. Sweet bready and honeyish (flowery) aroma. Sweetish bready flavor with fruity honey. OK drinkable kellerbier.
