3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
draft at Denver Bicycle Cafe. cloudy orange body with a tan head of short retention and large bubbles. mish-mash of fruit hops and fruity esters in the nose: maraschino cherry, fruit cocktail, grapefruit, all with a light pine resin touch, but also all muddled by yeast. doughy, medium body, not as goopy and sludgy as their other IPAs, and not as sweet, thankfully, but still quite directionless, and ultimately leaves me unsatisfied as itís no better than sloppy homebrew.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
(on tap-board as "Ameri-IPA"...going to go ahead and guess itís the same beer) clear golden with a nose of peppery floral hops and a gentle blond malt backbone. Taste is mildly bitter yet balanced, but Iím not sure Iím diggin the hop flavors of pine and rusty herbalness, set against the too-mild sweetness, which lacks any real toffee or caramel tones.
