On tap at Denver Beer. $10 for 12oz of Cognac Barleywine AND a green chile burrito? Booya. Pours a hazy, brick red with some creamy beige head. Nose of butterscotch, apples, caramel, a little booze, tropical fruit, raisins, prunes. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, butterscotch, apple schnapps, cinnamon, rum. Full bodied, sweet, sticky finish. Very nice. This took very well to the barrel aging.

On tap at Denver Beer poured a hazy reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of prune, raisin, cognac, oak, toffee, brown sugar and pipe tobacco. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of plum, prune, raisin, cognac, oak, toffee and light smoke with a smooth lingering dark fruit finish.
