COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
FRESH HOP IPA - A true hop escapade! To make this beer we took a road trip to Palisade, hand picked 30 lbs of organic Chinook hops, tried our hand at the Hopfenpfluckmaschine, and dreamed up the rest of the brew over beers and a campfire under the stars on the Western Slope. This beer has a huge fresh herb and citrus aroma with a hint of wild flower honey and a dash of adventure.

Draught @ Denver Beer Co. Pours a medium gold, slightly dull, with a white head. Hoppy aroma, orange, resin, caramel. Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Hoppy taste, citrus, spruce, malt, wheat. Lacks the hop punch of a proper Colorado IPA. (2013-10-08)

Draft at brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow gold with white head. Nose and taste of citrus, light malt, grassy hops, honey and herbs. Lighter medium body.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Super big hops forward flavor and finish. Great IPA and terrific hops spice and flavor.

Growler shared with Gabe. Pours a thin, short duration ivory head, with some lacing, over a slightly hazy amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is light pine, mild toffee/caramel, slight cereal....taste is light pine, citrus, toffee/caramel finishing dry with moderate bitterness.....mouth feel medium, carbonation low. Listed as an IPA, this would meet the ESB standard fairly well. In other words it is light. BJCP 7/3/12/4/7

On tap at Denver Beer poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, grassiness, citrus and pine resin. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering pine finish.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brings notes of big pine and grassy notes, lots of spice and yeast, hints of slight orange and grapefruit peel, touch of biscuit, slight toffee notes. Taste is a mix of sweet orange and grapefruit right away going into bitter pine, grass, slight dank notes, finishing with lots of spice. Not my favorite.

Hazy light amber - love me some fresh hop beer - they approached is one right - provide a lean, moderately sweet, clean malt base and let those hops shine - that is what happens here - hops are green and potent, peppery throughout - downright spicy in the finish - malts are a touch sweet, but become crisp and crackery in the finish, which compliments the spiciness well - nicely done, but crazy spicy - you have to love hops.

Tap @ brewery. Clear golden appearance with a white head. Potent floral, piney hoppy, slightly resiny nose. Fresh, potent floral, piney-resiny flavor with a lingering hoppy bitterness. Not bad.

On tap during Denver Brew at the Zoo 2011. Hazy bright gold with a nose of fresh wet hops and light sweet maltiness. Taste is light on the bitterness but big on grassy hop flavor. Pretty mild toffee sweetness with a bitter ending. Interesting but not necessarily delightful to drink.
