Like a campfire in a glass, this robust beauty has seductive notes of vanilla, smoked cedar, and mulling spices. A dark pour with mild lacing, she is a rollercoaster of lush chocolate diving into a semi-dry finish of roasted malt and biscuit. 5.6% ABV

On tap @ brewery. Very dark brown with a light beige head. Aroma of sweet graham cracker and roasty chocolate malts. Taste was impeccable. Smoky chocolate graham cracker, a sweetness not unlike marshmellow. Creamy and toasty with a very subtle fruit action going on in the back. I might be in love.

Draft. Recommended by a local I met at another brewery, this was indeed a great beer. Black of course, and the graham aroma brought me back to my youth. The flavor is quite mocha-like. Sweet, an utterly rich dessert beer, exceptional in the narrow category. (#5640, 8/24/2014)

Pass the s'mores! This porter is hefty and has the unique taste of graham cracker! I even taste a marshmallow in there somewhere, along with vanilla and a bit of cherry on the finish. Decent lacing, not-so-great head, but the experience is pure summer camp-out fun! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is one of my favorites from DBC. The appearance is a dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma is a toasty chocolate and vanilla. The taste is of chocolate and vanill. Itís like a malty símore.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2012 Tap @ brewery. Dark brown appearance with a creamy, tan head. Cocoa, light espresso, wood, a touch of smoke, and chocolate-caramel maltiness. Sweet vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate, light smoke, roasty malty flavor. Vanilla is pretty potent on the finish. Nice brew. Second time around and Iím more impressed this time. Excellent, dessert-like session brew.

"There sure seamed to be a plethora of quality flavored porters on this trip and this one qualifies. Actually went there for this beer. Solid feel - not thin, fairly robust for the abv. Flavor and aroma very pleasant chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, dark fruits and a wisp of smoke. Well done."

Had this at the 2012 Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado. Lots of vanilla notes with some graham cracker, has a nice smokey flavor.

Large sample pour of deep brown with amber edges. Plenty of caramel and zesty notes, a little cinnamon and some chocolate notes. Flavor follows, nutty sweet, caramel and light chocolate notes. Smooth medium body, easy drinking. 17052015

On tap at Denver Beer poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roastiness, bakers cocoa, carmel, vanilla and light smoke. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, bakers cocoa, vanilla and light smoke with a smooth lingering roasty finish.
