4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap @ brewery. Very dark brown with a light beige head. Aroma of sweet graham cracker and roasty chocolate malts. Taste was impeccable. Smoky chocolate graham cracker, a sweetness not unlike marshmellow. Creamy and toasty with a very subtle fruit action going on in the back. I might be in love.

Pass the s'mores! This porter is hefty and has the unique taste of graham cracker! I even taste a marshmallow in there somewhere, along with vanilla and a bit of cherry on the finish. Decent lacing, not-so-great head, but the experience is pure summer camp-out fun!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at DBC. Nose is soft vanilla and spice (mostly cinnamon). Dark brown translucence. Fast fading head, medium heavy lacing. Solid porter malt core with a bit of a sweet but clean finish. More vanilla and spice on finish along with caramel roasted malts. Really nice...everything is balanced-vanilla and spice is just right.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2012 Tap @ brewery. Dark brown appearance with a creamy, tan head. Cocoa, light espresso, wood, a touch of smoke, and chocolate-caramel maltiness. Sweet vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate, light smoke, roasty malty flavor. Vanilla is pretty potent on the finish. Nice brew. Second time around and I’m more impressed this time. Excellent, dessert-like session brew.

What a great porter. Vanilla, smoky and clearly a graham cracker flavor.

Had this at the 2012 Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado. Lots of vanilla notes with some graham cracker, has a nice smokey flavor.

Dark brown beer - nose of maple, chocolate, caramel, light woodsmoke - medium body - fairly dry up front, with notes of bitter bakers chocolate and roast - moderate maple sweetness through the middle - tail end is light woodiness and smoke - lightly bitter finish - the overall impression is that of bacon covered in maple syrup - nice.

On tap at the brewery from August 2011. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Roasty and chocolate with a some vanilla notes in the nose. Taste of vanilla, chocolate and some coffee notes. Overall, this is a good vanilla porter that hits the balance pretty well.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Denver Beer Co. Pour is deep brown with light red hues and a frothy tan head; great lacing. Big sweet chocolate aroma - vanilla, graham crackers, light coffee, roast, lacto, and hit chocolate. Nice. Taste is roasty, malty, sweet milk chocolate, somewhat earthy, light espresso, grassy, and bready. Medium body with medium-to-high carbonation. Really nice porter, but could benefit from more body - still probably their best offering.
