   AROMA 3/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 7/20

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), moderately hoppy (resin), with a strong note of diacetyl, other note of tomato sauce. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Wow...how the heck is this acceptable to the brewers? Can they not detect diacetyl? The butter is nearly overwhelming in this, just as strongly aromatic as the resinous hops, if not more so. Add some tomato juice/sauce to the aromatic profile, a dirty aftertaste, and you’ve got...well...you’ve got something. Shockingly bad.

Draft at the brewpub. Light in color. The aroma is nicely inviting, like a fresh lime bloom in the spring. West coast all the way. Drinks with a citric and fruity sting. Body is middling, but good. (#5639, 8/24/2014)

Good pour, floral aroma, kinda light on the palate. Drinkable ipa that’s nothing special.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is golden orange in appearance with a one-finger white head and great lacing. Big dank aroma; weed, grass, light straw, and resin. Taste is much the same, ganja, resin, pine tips, straw, and biscuit with a big bitter finish. Sticky mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Pretty decent IPA and one of their better offerings.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange-red with white head, aroma brought big notes of dank and resinous hops, some grapefruit,, orange notes as well as some pine, hints of caramel and earth comes through. Taste is pretty nice, big fruity grapefruit leads into a resinous pine and grassy/floral hop, some caramel and biscuit with a hint of earth, finishing fairly bitter.

Tap at Denver Bicycle Cafe. Slightly hazy dark gold with a beautifully foamy and laceful white head. Smells deliciously of candied oranges, a little tangerine, caramel, cream...kinda like an orange creamsicle, with just a touch of frozen banana. Taste is full and hoppy, balanced yet stylistically bitter. Flavor starts nice and citrusy with orange and grapefruity notes, a touch of pine, a heaping load of creamy caramel maltiness, with a medium resinous hoppy bitterness throughout.
