On tap at the brewery. Golden amber and clear appearance with a white head. Note: Iím stuffed up. Aroma of citrus zest, tropical fruits, light resinous hops, pine and toasted grains. Flavor is bitter and pretty clean with a touch of bready, malty sweetness. Pretty solid IPA.

On tap at brewery. Pours a gold body and makes a nice creamy head. Smells of caramel and hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can - I havenít been to Denver Beer Co. in well over a year - I pretty much gave up due to their inconsistent quality - but now that theyíre canning, I figured Iíd give their cans a shot - hazy orange pour - nose is citric, grassy, and garlicky hops, vegetable juice, mild malt character - watery texture - pretty lifeless in the mouth - flavor is pretty basic, but not too bad - I do not really detect the diacetyl that some others have complained about, but I tend not to be very sensitive to it - mostly clean sweetness followed by potent bitterness, bordering on abrasiveness - flavors of pine, citrus, pepper - decent hop profile in the flavor and thankfully none of the vegetable juice character from the nose - still, a pretty weak attempt.

Pours clearer golden orange with a nice lacey white head. Aroma brings pleasant sweet hops, spritzy and a bit floral. Flavor brings refreshing sweet and zesty bitter citrus hops on a decent body.

Tap. Copper but no real head or lacing. Smells a little grape fruity and a little rubbery. A little peachy and pithy. I actually like this ok.

"Amply hopped with aromatic bright juicy hops. Grapefruit and some evergreen right up front, light in body with minimal malt balance, but itís easy drinking and tasty."

Picked up a can of this guy. No date code. Pours hazy orange with a good sized white head that sticks around. Onion hops and butterscotch. Iím seeing other complaining about the diacetyl, so I donít feel so bad about the low rating. Leaves a slick, coating mouthfeel. Not my style.

Bottle. Pours orange with white head. Aroma lots of citrus, fresh malts, sweet oranges. Taste is very sweet citrus, grapefruit, balanced with a long lingering sweet finish. Really nice.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), moderately hoppy (resin), with a strong note of diacetyl, other note of tomato sauce. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Wow...how the heck is this acceptable to the brewers? Can they not detect diacetyl? The butter is nearly overwhelming in this, just as strongly aromatic as the resinous hops, if not more so. Add some tomato juice/sauce to the aromatic profile, a dirty aftertaste, and youíve got...well...youíve got something. Shockingly bad.

Draft at the brewpub. Light in color. The aroma is nicely inviting, like a fresh lime bloom in the spring. West coast all the way. Drinks with a citric and fruity sting. Body is middling, but good. (#5639, 8/24/2014)
