2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 3fourths (6406) - Boulder, USA - FEB 2, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2012 draft. amber, which is a bit off for pilsner. nose is a combination of husky and sweaty grains with saccharine / nutrisweet sweetness and grassy, pungent, dry, bitter but flavorless hops. cooked corn and metallic grains. obviously a pilsner made by someone without a sense of what the style really is.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 onceblind (1622) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2012
On tap @ brewery. Poured out a clear darkish gold, almost copper, with a thin dissipating but laceful head. Aroma of chewy pale grains, straw, and unsalted crackers with a very soft herbal tone. Taste was suprisingly sweet and biscity, with other sweet malty tones with a cracker-like bready flavor, not too hoppy but brings just the right bitteress wih just the right ammount of herbal ad grassy notes to perfectly compliment the bready sweet malt tones. Never had a Pils this sweet or complex. Standout job!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 notalush (3744) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2012 [Update, 2/12 - new batch is husky as fuck - fuuuuu!] Clear gold - significant lace - nose of light mineral, crackery malt, grassy hops - flavor is clean, lightly sweet pils malt up front - this makes way for potent, grassy and peppery hop character - some crisp, dry mineral character on the tail end, with long lingering spicy hoppiness - very simple but very flavorful, as a good pils should be - wish is was a bit less sweet, with a slightly cleaner finish, but otherwise pretty darn solid.
