Damn decent IPA. Aroma is subtler than you find in many wets coast hop bombs, but brings citrus/grapefruit nose. Appearance is lovely with dark red hue, but poor head retention cost the beer here. Flavor pleases. Great NW hop flavor, without being overly bitter. Served in great glasswear...well done!

Tap @ DBC. I’ve had pretty good luck with ipas here, so hopefully this is a winner. Clear, copper orange appearance with an off white head. Kind of a dull grapefruity, slightly piney, slightly toasty malty aroma. Surprisingly a little overly sweet, sticky toasty malty, grapefruity citrusy hoppy flavor. Kind of a miss.

Hazy light copper - highly tropical nose, with notes of pineapple, mango, citrus - moderate malt sweetness underneath - flavor is fairly sweet throughout, but the sweetness is more clean than sticky or syrupy - hops are strong, spicy, peppery - they border on abrasive and too highly acidic at times, but they remain mostly tolerable - fairly subdued alcohol, until the finish, which becomes a little fusel-ish - pretty brash - meh.

draft. dark amber with an off-white head. resinous candied red apple jolly rancher and oversweet orange flavoring (and floor wax?) hops. syrupy, sweet and goopy. chewy with headache-inducing sugared sweetness. ridiculously under-attenuated with noticeable ethanol to boot.

On tap at the brewery. Poured out a nice clear copper with a medium head that left good lace. Pungent hoppy aroma with notes of resiny pine, lupulin, and grapefruit tones. Taste was pretty darn bitter with equally big hoppy tones of pine resin, citrus, and grassy hoppiness. There’s also a big fat rusty caramel tone under all of it, but the bitterness hides too much of it. Pretty hot too, almost too boozy with a rustic aftertaste...not in a metallic way, but in a dank, piney grapefruity way.
