3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at DIA. Appearance: finger white head, straw yellow color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: wheat, light citrus, light caramel. Palate: average, good lacing, lightly sticky texture, light bitter finish. Taste: sweet caramel melded with wheat into pils and citrus hops, finishes pretty bitter. Overall, pretty ok, but a bit too bitter for the style for me and just not anything special.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap: The aroma consists of light-moderate citrus, honey, and a hint of grass. It’s a transparent gold with a one finger creamy white head that settles to a thick film. There are some solid laced rings left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of honey with a touch of bread. The finish has light citrus, faint lemon peel, and grass. It’s light bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at the DIA location - clear straw color - frothy, sticky lace - nose has a strong mineral bite and a nice honeyed maltiness, but the use of American hops also creates an odd citrus character I do not want in my Dortmunder - the same can be said of the flavor - moderate mineral, mildly sweet honey malt flavor, light toasted grain - but there is a strongly citric American hop flavor that makes this taste more like an American lager - a lot of lingering, undue bitterness in the finish - meh.
