Shaker pint draft at the ChopHouse location at DIA. Listed as Witbier on tap handle, menu, etc. Served with an unsolicited orange slice. Pour is lightly hazed yellow golden with a smallish white head. Aroma is soft wheat grain, some light yeasty citrus and soft esters. Nice gentle nose. Taste is the wheat up front, nice bright citrus in the middle, and a calm smooth yeast finish. Decently put together. Palate is medium bodied, low carbonation and a very easy drinking dry finish. I agree with the alias, this is really more of a Wheat Ale, though it had nice Hefe notes.

Clove spie and banana aroma. Poured a chalky gold in color. Flavor wheaty golden ale like with some clove notes. Overall light on the palate. Notes: GABF ’09 visit

(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of wheat, orange, and clove. Flavor of wheat, orange, clove, and yeast.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed yellow hued body with a minimal white head. Aromas are of wheat, grainy, clove (4VG), orange peel and light vanilla. Flavors are of cardboard, clove phenol, orange and grainy wheat. Dry and thin with no carbonation. Not particularly great.

(draft at DIA 3/12/11). Cloudy yellow color. Small white head. Moderate wheat aroma with light citrus. Flavor of the same. Avg duration. Smooth finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Tap @ brewpub, DIA, Co. Pours hazy yellow with a weak white head. Nose is wheat, oarnage, yeast, cloves. Taste is muchg the same with some fruity notes added, apple, peach. Thin body, weak corbonation. Not my kind of beer. 061210

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2011 Tasted on tap at Chophouse Brewery in Denver, Colorado. Light cloudy appearance. Sweet yeasty flavor reminiscent of Sunshine Wheat. Coriander and fruit peel hints also. Pretty good.

Tap at the DIA venue. Server called it both wheat and wit. Pours hazy gold. Coriander aroma? Medium body with a touch of citrus. Nice flavor, though could be more Belgian.

Draft @ Chophouse, DEN Airport: Clear hazy gold with no head or lacing. The nose has some light esters and wheat notes but nothing really solid or substantial. Thin flavor and bland mouthfeel with a vague banana and clove note in the tail. Undercarbonation compounds this shortfall.

Clear yellow with a fizzy white head. Earthy grain and mild orange aroma and taste with a watery palate and a dry corriander finish.
