Pours mostly clear gold with a tall, sticky off-white head.
Light sweet candy aroma.
Lightly sweet flavor, no real hops here.
Needs more hops all the way through.
Out of balance.

These beers need to stop. Make an IPA hoppy. Please stop advertising these malty messes as IPAs. Why even make them? Do people like them? Malty, lightly bitter, and tastes like what I would imagine it would taste like to lick a lawnmower blade. Metal, grass, and dirt.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HonkeyBra (2483) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JUN 10, 2012
12 oz. bottle from Suttree. Thanks man! Pours a reddish orange with a slight chill haze, medium head with lots of lacing. Aroma is a bit light on the hops, but some pine and citrus still peak through. Strong caramel and toffee malt notes are apparent. Flavor is well-balanced, mildly bitter, with a strong focuses caramel and crystal malt presence. A bit light bodied, but easily drinkable.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 nearbeer (3041) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 4, 2012
12 oz. Copper with a lasting half inch of meringue on top. Mild nose of citrus, caramel and resin. Taste is earthy orange caramel, resin, light toast, bitter pith and grain. Light-medium body is slightly rough with carbonation and well dry in the long finish.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rangerred (659) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - APR 1, 2012
Had on tap.
Arrived a nearly clear amber with a thick one finger head.
Smells very piney, like and evergreen forest or a christmas tree farm. Not much malt detectable.
Taste like someone poured a shot of gin into an amber ale. Overwhelming pine leading to a harsh, acrid bitterness on the back of the throat, a tiny bit of bready grain is present but is overwhelmed by the pine and bitterness. Not balanced at all and not good.
I’m a little surprised and disappointed by this beer. I seem to remember it being much better the last time I had it which was quite awhile ago. I would love to support my local brewery but this beer has GOT to improve.

Hazy amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit/earthy, some bread/honey. Taste is medium sweet, pine/grapefruit/straw, some biscuit. Medium body, light resin.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BanjoDude (57) - Kingsport, Tennessee, USA - AUG 20, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2011 Pours a deep amber with a nice off-white head. The aroma is not that prominent, especially for an IPA. The taste is very nice though, with a perfect amount of bitterness. Tastes more like an English-Style IPA than an American. Overall a good beer. 3.7
