Cask at the Brewery Tap, Derby. Copper with a creamy cream head; smooth fruity malt flavour and gently bitter, with a long bitter finish. A good basic bitter, but nothing exceptional.

Bottled. This is a very tasty copper beer; it’s flavours are dry overall with a very good balance of malt and hops. It’s not outstanding but a very solid English bitter.

Bottle picked up by my dad had this 23-12-07 Pours dark amber wonderful dark sugar on the nose. This is a classy well balanced beer, nice fruitiness and bitterness bit earthy, but very tasty indeed.

Hazy, beautiful amber. Sticky, rocky white head even. Pretty fresh tasting, but leaving a considerable grainy, almost husky astringency in its long aftertaste. Kinda toasty, dry malt flavours absorb the bitterness more than the opposite. Little hop aromas in there, barely leafy and that’s it. Could use some adjustments in the malt-hop duality.
