Cask at The Royal Standard, (The Brewery Tap), Derby 17-08-08 Rather amusingly I wrote this down as Dashing Duck. Pours very dark brown. Nice roasted nutty taste, bitterness is present but lovely creamy flavours. This isn’t a classic beer but its done very well little bit chewy and malty, but very nice.

Cask at the Brewery Tap, Derby. Black with a raspberry red tint and a tan head; aroma of milky chocolate malts; taste is thin at first but fills out with rich roast coffee leaving a finish of dry coffee grounds. More of a porter than an ESB.

Cask, Derby Winter Fest 07. Black with a beige foam. Aromas are very fruity with earthy malts. Not much roast character considering the colour. Sweet with some oatiness. Flavours are smooth and earthy with some smokiness. Lightly fruity with some coffee and oatiness. Sweetish on the finish. Decent.

Cask@Derby Winter Beer Festival 2007. Black beer with a red tinge and a light head. The aroma is chocolatey and the flavour is slightly sour, very bitter and roasted coffee. Overall an average beer.

Cask Stillage at the Community Centre, Frodsham 06/05/2006 Fruity aroma. Dark red coloured slightly rich on the palate with some fruit flavour. Crisp slightly wheaty and dry malt finish.
