Cask at the Brewery Tap at the Royal Standard, Derby. On the roof terrace, with a fine view of the River Derwent. Amber with a white head. Old fashioned malty aroma. Sweet, smooth taste. Bitter finish. Very nice juicy bitter. Consulting my notes I see I wrote ’Very nice’ a second time. This was after kicking out at the Derby Festival and haddonsman and DJMonarch had led me to the nearest pub.
