Approaching ruby, beige lid and lace. Nuts and toffee aroma with dark dark fruity hedgerow hop, wet leaves, squeeze of dishcloth. Cask, cake and chocolate. Fudge hop fusion without sickliness. YEAH.

Bottle at me dad’s picked up somewhere in Derby no doubt Poured dark chesnut with off white head pretty good clarity. Nice malty beer, some soft fudge, tiny hint of sourness, nice beer. Also had this at Cropredy Festival 2008 the week before.

Cask at the Brewery Tap, Derby. Copper with a thin white head; slightly fruity aroma; sticky and sweet with caramel and fruit flavours and a rather tart finish.

Cask (gravity) at the Burton summer CAMRA festival 2005. Wonder where Trev got the idea for this from ;)

Not had this in Derby so was glad to see it here... but a little disappointed, tasted rather thin and woody. Hope it’s just a weak barrel.
