Cask-conditioned at the Wellington, Birmingham 01/02/10. Ruby red in colour with a slight, off-white head. Sweet caramel and crystallised fruit aroma. Flavour of butterscotch and red fruit with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Sickly.

Cask handpull at the brewtap. Ruby with a thin broken halo. Hobnob aroma, some indistinct dark fruit. Very buttery again; faint oily hop, digestives, caramel. Damp apple yeastiness. Dull and tired.
