Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Chestnut with cream head. Quite a nutty flavour with the associated drying character. I’m not sure I would call it a Porter myself, but hey. Dark roasted chocolatey note, bitter and lasting. Reasonable.

Cask Handpump from the Main Hall at the Assembly Rooms, Derby Winter Ales Festival 05/01/2008 Fruit and roast aromas. Dark coloured and rich on the palate with some alcohol present. Crisp and bitter lasting malt finish.

[Cask at Wenlock Arms, London] A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malted with light roasted notes. The flavor is malty with an acidic touch of roasted malt combined with notes of straw.
