Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton. A golden beer with whitish bits for a head. A rubbery yeasty beer with notes of glue. Really very poor. Nah!

(Cask at Edgar Wallace, Strand, London, 18 May 2011) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, lemon peel, sourish hints of wheat and a touch of yeast. Slightly soapy. Fruity taste with grass, citrus, lemon peel, hints of yeast and notes of wheat. Generous grassy bitterness in the finish. Slightly different golden ale with some wheat character. Quite nice.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear goldne colour, white head. Aroma is light malted with a bit of lemon. Flavour is lemon hops, biscuit, and slightly yeasty. Fruity and slightly dry finish. Refreshing.
