Cask. A golden beer with no head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt as well as a lighter note of butter. The flavor is sweet wtih notes of malt and butter, leading to a bitter and buttery finish.

Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Dusty orange with a slim white head. Squeaky teeth from the hops; astringent and a bit vegetal, faint biscuits, apricot. ’Bitters’ says Pops, but I couldn’t comment. Certainly a scrub of dog that’s been wriggling in the canal. Decent vanilla and pale nutty accents, but the hops vanish into astringency. It’s alright.

Cask. Clear yellow with a slight haze and a small white head. Butter and citrus in the nose. Medium body, low carbonation, fruit, citrus and a vague whiff of smoke. Not good. 17010
