Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Dusty, strawy aroma. Slight vinegar tang. Taste is very much as above. Some bitterness. Unusual and interesting, if not ultimately quite successful.

(Cask at Strangers’ Bar, The Houses of Parliament, London) Yeastiness was clearly present in this golden and clear beer. Both aroma and taste were quite clearly yeasty. It was a bit disturbing. Other flavours were malts, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Easy to drink. I might try this one again.

Cask Conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A blonde beer with a tiny whitish ring of head. A dishwatery yeasty aroma leads to a lemony yeasty taste. A hint of wheat in the mouth. Average.
