Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Gold amber with no head. There is a big fag ash character to this, dry, thin , bitter. Not great.

Cask by handpump at Paisley Beer Festival (28 Apr 12) - clear amber ale, non-existent white head, mild caramel malt aroma, caramel / biscuit, dryish finish

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium yellow - amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, toasted, caramel, wood. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111211]

Cask, JDW, Carlisle. I keep persevering with Derwent beers, but they are all so similar. Dry, dusty, almost shandylike. Very papery, bordering on stale, musty and uninteresting.

Cask Handpump at the Beer House, Manchester 13/01/2002 Golden coloured and slightly bitter on the palate with a hint of ginger flavour.

Cask in the wasdale head inn. Alround rating, sweet richer malts, distinctly apply, not very plesent or drinkable. Didnt finish it.

Half pint pulled at The Woolpacker Inn near Boot (Lake District), amber with a tight foamy white head. A flowery malt aroma. An odd flavour, is that some giner in there? Hoppy but tart. Think it might have been past its best.

[Cask from The Three Judges] Pale gold with a tight head. Peachy, citric, notes of lychee. Light body, fruity, dry, citric hop notes.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A cooper coloured beer with a dull thin aroma. There is a little malt to smell but not much else. The taste is quite fruity and there is some homebrew roughness. Quite interesting in bursts but dodgy in some sips.
