On tap at Bateau de Nuit. Pours pale golden with high creamy white head. Intense lacing. Aroma is of hops (citrus, fruits (tropical), malt. Taste is of fruits, citrus, some bitterness, malt. Palate: light-medium body. Overall: Pretty good. Interesting hops, very american-like. We need more of these "on the spot" beers...

Pint at Bateau de Nuit. Slightly blonde, hazy copper. Medium density frothy cap clinging for life as it settles. With each pop of a bubble, I'm hearing "help us all. Drink us before we die an unfulfilled life. We want to be farted back into the atmosphere". Their wish, and screams of terror, are heard. I must help the bubbles. But first, let's get the sniffing outta the way. Slight pine with lemony citrus. Seems to be decently hopped, but nothing to turn my nose should I be passing by a fresh burp of it, bottle or patron. Now onto taste. The clapping of little bubble hands as they hit my lips is pleasant. And with my full beard rockin the best grown face pubes money could never buy, the tiny bubbles that don't get immediately guzzled, get trapped in my moustache hair, for later consumption while I type. Apparently, the bubbles still had tear residue just prior to being drank, and it seems bubble tears taste like gently caramelized sugar and floral backgrounds, bridged by an equally perfect amount of lemon citrus bitterness. An excellent beer, and an excellent reason to quickly help the bubbles, should you ever be in the same situation. As hard as you and I try, we just can't help the bastard bubbles that doily themselves on the inside of the glass, all-the-fuckin-way-through the pint. Party it up, tiny bubbles, until 8:43am tomorrow morning. Party it up.

En fût à la MDBP. Couleur ambrée, mousse blanche. Arôme de céréales et houblon frais. En bouche, équilibrée, herbes et malt. Finale un peu amère. Excellente.

On tap at the brewpub. Gold-copper pour with white head. Aroma is hop centered, very citrusy, crisp grainy malts, orange peel. Taste is bitter but well balanced with nice fresh bread tasting malts, some caramel notes as well, finishes on more citrusy flavors. Palate is light with slightly prickly carbonation making a very refreshing hoppy summer delight. Good stuff.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2012 My Bottom Line :
Citrusy, floral hops bloom atop this Pale Ale’s svelte cereals, building a quenching example of the style.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A full head of foam tops the misty amber-hued blond.
-The aroma is not boastful like many American-made Pale Ales, but it is bright and refined, beautifully drinkable.
-The flavor profile is balanced.
-This may not stand out in the APA category, but it is still a highly enjoyable and impeccably-brewed example.

On tap at the brewpub.

Draught at Brouhaha, Montreal, June 7. Pours a cloudy orange with a small diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy along with caramel malt and light spices. Fruity flavour along with light citrus & pine hops, caramel malt, a hint of spice and an average bitter finish. Average bodied, Pretty good, enjoyable.

On tap at La Souche (Limoilou). Clear yellow orange with almost no head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Taste of citrus, malt-caramel and slight/medium bitterness. Less explosive than Dunham Pale Ale Américaine but still very good. Thirst quenching and refreshing. First beer I drink from Microbrasserie des Beaux Prés and it’s promising.
