3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle, thanks baerwaldt for sharing. murky brown with loads of froth; the froth itself has plenty of earthy spice aroma; some curious woody cherry notes turning a little sour in the finish along with apple concentrate. invigorating

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, malt, caramel, and dark dried fruits, leading to a dry yeasty finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 33 cl. Opaque, extremely clody orange reddish with lots of impurities floating and a decent, creamy beige, good retention, a little lace. Phenolic nose, dried fruits and dark sugars. Sugary texture, soft carbonation. Rather sweet, very fruity, vanilla, orange zesty, alcoholic warming finish. Ok, but very sticky and quite hard to drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very active beer, kept on foaming in the glass and bottle. Eventually got a big tan head over a brown, somewhat hazy body. Modern intrepetation of the classic Belgian brune. Earthy and forest hops, quite yeasty, sticky rye bread. Smooth carbonation. Definitely some alcohol in here, but I don’t mind it becasue it is warming and enriching the fruity malt falvours. Almost sticky ending, but enough bitterness to carry this through. Much better than I expected; well hopped sticky Belgian dubbel. Like the labels too. (33cl bottle, form La Cave a Bulles I think)
