Commercial Description:
Deschutes Brewery's summer bond Street Series offers yet another refreshing, hot weather quencher to complement Twilight Ale. This unique Belgian-style wheat beer was brewed with zested Curacao orange peel and just enough spices to keep your taste buds guessing. Our brewers tinkered with the recipe for months at the Public House in Bend, Oregon, before perfecting what will arrive on shelves in 22-ounce bottles this June. One prototype of the Wit was sampled at Portland's Spring Beer and Wine Festival in March, where it earned a gold medal.

Bottle in Truckee, Ca. As described a nice refreshing beer. Pours very clean and bright with a medium carbonation. I would have enjoyed a little more spice from the yeast. I am always excited about a Deschutes Anniversary beer, but this one left me a little in want.

On tap at Newport Pizza and Ale house. Pours bright golden hue with good carbonation and a thin white head. Nose has a faint citrus and earthy note. Flavor is sweet with subtle spices and light grains underlying throughout. Mouthfeel is light and crisp and very refreshing. I found this wit to be very good and I will have it again!

Bottle. Straw beer with a whitish head. Wheat aroma with light spice and light fruit. Wheat flavor with light orange, light spice - possibly something like grains of paradise. Medium body. Refreshing and easy to drink. Wheat, grains, spice, and orange linger.

Color is a slightly hazy golden with good carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is light with a hint of banana. Taste is light and easy. Starting with a light body that goes down easy and smooth it has a bright Hefe like taste at first but fades out quickly. After taste is clean with just a faint bitterness. Overall its tasty but a little light on flavor for a White.

22oz bottle-A hazy golden yellow with some floating strainy yeast. Aroma of banana, coriander and orange. Taste of all of the above but it seems to be a little light in flavor with all the characterstics present. A light bodied brew but I was expecting more from Deschutes.

Bottle. Pale yellow, a little whiteish, a bubbly ring of film. Aroma of some sweet corn and spices. Flavor is slightly sweet corn / pale malt but significant spices linger (clove coriander etc). I don’t really like the way the spices stick to my palate.

Bomber. Pours an unusually crystal clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Spicy (mostly coriander) and lemon aroma. Light body, active carbonation. Just a dash of fruit and orange in the taste. Dry spicy finish. I would have liked to see more lemony tartness in this one.

Bomber. Pale yellow, no head and almost totally filtered-WTF?. Nose is very mild and understated with some yeast and wheat tones. Flavors are underwhelming with yeast and wheat overwhelming any other spices. Mouth is thin and very carbonated. Average at best and certainly not worth purchasing again.
