Commercial Description:
Deschutes Brewery's summer bond Street Series offers yet another refreshing, hot weather quencher to complement Twilight Ale. This unique Belgian-style wheat beer was brewed with zested Curacao orange peel and just enough spices to keep your taste buds guessing. Our brewers tinkered with the recipe for months at the Public House in Bend, Oregon, before perfecting what will arrive on shelves in 22-ounce bottles this June. One prototype of the Wit was sampled at Portland's Spring Beer and Wine Festival in March, where it earned a gold medal.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, straw yellow, small white head. A little spice and yeast on the nose, not much else. Flavor is a very subdued collage of coriander, spice, citrus, grass and yeast. Finish is thin, dry and abrupt.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is spicy and hoppy on a lightly malty back ground. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of spices and hops. The body is weak.

Thanks to fogdog for this bonus beer. It’s one of those I’ve been unintentially saving. Pours a hazy light gold with a small short-lived white head. Aroma of earth, coriander, hay, clove, and just the slightest touch of sulfer. Tastes of earth, hay, grass, a bit of malt, pepper, and restrained spice. It’s there, but gentle. Finishes pretty dry and clean with a linger earth, hay, and grass. Quite light bodied, highish carbonation, and easy going. You know the sort of views you see when driving across Kansas with all the farmland and rolling hills? This tastes how that looks.
