vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours lightly hazy yellow with a large white head. The aroma has light wheat, chamomile, light wheat, coriander, honey and powderiness. Medium / light body with light carbonation that is very soft for the style. The flavor starts flowery and perfume-like with chamomile, wheat, minimal spice and merely a hint of orange peel. The finish is very powdery and gently herbal. Very nice wit. Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Sep 26, 2008 hazy yellow with a nice white head.aroma is ceram, wheat, barley, orange zest, and spice.flavor is much of the same.mouthfeel is slightly watery. vacantskies (79), Spokane, Washington, USA Sep 25, 2008 Pours like a lager. Has a nice frothy head. Taste is light and airy. Fairly non-descript. Light floral aromas and a nice finish. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA Sep 23, 2008 Thanks to Lexi for bringing this one back from Seattle for me. This was a decent wit, not great. A bit thin in appearance and on the palate. Kind of flat - not sure if that’s from travel or not, but doubtful. Citrusy notes were pleasant, but this one fell a little bit flat. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 22, 2008 22oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and yellow/pale yellow color. Aroma is herbal, coriander. Taste is wheat/light malt, herbal/pepper/coriander, lemon. Soft carbonation. No banana/clove from yeast. Thanks to BitterBill.
Nik925 (300), California, USA Sep 20, 2008 Not much to appearance, but the layers of spices and flavors along with a vesty yeast make this average beer sing. Minimal excitement, yet solid beer, you expect something wild for a 20th anniversary, this is not it. Odd and unique flavors, all those odd additions pay off, but still fail to create a an excellent brew. Aroma is all banana/clove, but taste is all over the place, but in a good way. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Sep 18, 2008 Updated: Sep 29, 200822oz bottle from Windy City Liquor in El Cajon. Slightly hazy golden with medium head. Light citrus & yeast with a bit of pepper. Overall, light all around. Still enjoyable, just feels like a kiddie version of a good wit. mbgrayson (141), Anaconda, Montana, USA Sep 7, 2008 Very light color. Sort of like a citrusy Belgian/Wheat beer. This one starts clean, with a citrus finish. I don’t love it, but it is drinkable.
