Deschutes 20th Anniversary Wit

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is spicy and hoppy on a lightly malty back ground. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of spices and hops. The body is weak.

From bottle, blind #39. Pours cloudy orange with a small and collapsing white head. Aroma is mild herbal yeasty. Mild citric and light hoppy initial flavoured. Light grassy. Bitter and slight grassy base flavour lasting into the finish. Lasting citrusy flavoured finish.

Unclear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheaty, grain, fruity, herbal - spicy. Flavor is moderate to light light sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090612]

Bottle #39 at Papsø’s blindtasting. Cloudy golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity and spicy aroma of tea. Fruity and spicy flavour of tea with notes of hops. Hoppy finish.

Hazy blond color. The aroma is both hoppy and papery. Very simple flavor, dryish, a bit wheaty. Correct bitterness. Nothing special.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with Dunk (thanks!). Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of some banana, wheaty, and spices. Tastes of banana, spices, wheat, and lighter citrus.

(22oz. bottle) Pours a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, clove, grass, banana, pepper, and coriander. Flavor of wheat, light lemon, orange peel, and coriander.
