Commercial Description:
Deschutes Brewery's summer bond Street Series offers yet another refreshing, hot weather quencher to complement Twilight Ale. This unique Belgian-style wheat beer was brewed with zested Curacao orange peel and just enough spices to keep your taste buds guessing. Our brewers tinkered with the recipe for months at the Public House in Bend, Oregon, before perfecting what will arrive on shelves in 22-ounce bottles this June. One prototype of the Wit was sampled at Portland's Spring Beer and Wine Festival in March, where it earned a gold medal.

Bomber from the Coop in Davis, CA. Slightly hazy gold color with a minimal white head that simply ringed. Light aromas of wheat and spice. Thin plus body with biting, creamy carbonation. Flavor is a little banana with citrus oil and slightly peppery spice notes. It’s pretty refreshing - good in the pool (plastic glass). Finish is lightly banana, and rather dry. Seems to be a wit that wanted to be a hefeweizen. Whatever. Works.

On tap at O’brien’s. Pours with a light golden body topped by a medium thick, white head with a good amount of lacing. It’s citrusy, grassy and wheaty wtih bitter notes and light sweet notes. Light bodied, crisp and a touch dry.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is spicy and hoppy on a lightly malty back ground. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of spices and hops. The body is weak.

22 oz bottle. Some sweet aromas with some floral notes. Flavors were not as sweet. Citrus and bright fruits but heavy on the wheat twang. Just okay.

Very light with a mild haze beer with a white head that quickly fell back into the glass. Mild nose, a hint of orange. Very thin body. Good on a hot day kind of beer. I liked it. It is different than I expected but as ’bhensonb’ said...."Whatever. Works." I couldn’t agree more....it’s different but it works for me.

22. Pours a deeply hazy medium copper with a thin white rim of film atop, and some decent sheets of white lace up the sides. Appealing coriander and bubble gum nose. Watery, thin body with flavors quite subdued. This beer looks and smells about right, if not world-beating, but it goes quite watery and in the end amounts to not a whole lot.

Smells of citrus and coriander. Color is very light yellow. Taste is light on the spice and citrus. The body is bery light, almost watery. I’m not a big fan but it’s a great hot weather beer.

Clear gold. Very carbonated. Thin head. Nice light pepper aroma. Light pepper flavour builds to long lasting peppery aftertaste. (Soft table pepper) Like a peppery golden ale.
