Itís fitting this experimental pale ale was the first beer brewed at our Portland Pub. This XPA gets its bitter twist from Nugget, and Northern Brewer hops, then delivers a pronounced citrus kick from Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops. Consider this your next hop obsession.

22 oz bomber bought from "lifesource" in Salem OR. $3.69 Pours a clear orange hued ale with a good sized frothy cream coloured head. Nice enough hoppy aromas here. Floral and some citrius..goodish caramel malt backing. Taste si sweeter than first imagined..like sweet clementines. Nice bitter hop in the back of the mouth balances it somewhat but not all the way. Mouth feel is medium but i think the sweetness is a tad overdone and becomes a little cloying but not enought to make this a bad experience. OK APA..would drink again if offered

Amber-orange, off white head, lite retention, and mild lacing. Fruity, orange, candy-caramel, and floral notes. Full bodied APA, caramel-citrus, mild lemon and mild grass note. Nice balance, medium bitterness, and mild dry notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12/24/15. 12oz bottle from a mix pack thanks to my parents! Copper pour with a small off-white head. Floral hop aroma, caramel, caramel malts. Not enough hop character in the flavor... malty, doughy, caramel, floral, earthy, hints of citrus. My next hop obsession? Yeah. Right.

Hazy, copper-orange pour with a white head. The aroma is hoppy with notes of pine and citrus. It has a light body with slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with more citrus in the finish.

Bottle from a mixed case. Hazy amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma of sugar and pine. Taste is sweet, bitter, orange zest. Sticky sweet. Finishes resiny but slightly dry.

Appearance: pours with a tiny light tan head, the beer is a darker gold color, has an orange or amber hue to it, opaque Aroma: flowers, oatmeal, citrus Taste: has a nice bitterness on the back end, not much in the malt sweetness comes thru, perhaps some caramel backbone Palate: lively carbonation, light mouthfeel, bitter aftertaste Overall: this is a decent pale ale, lacks complexity, more bitter than sweet, could use more hop character besides just the bitterness, easy drinking ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The look is super clear, good lacing but not too big off white head, and is amber in color. The smell is caramel, fruit, hops, clean, candied fruit, sweet. The taste is a clean bitterness, fruit, hops, small bite, and decent.

Amber brew with small head that fades off fast. Lots of citrus aroma and the taste is also lots of citrus and hop bitterness. So much hop going on that itís practically an IPA. Got this in a sampler pack so probably not going to see it sold by itself in a 12 pack around here (Central TX). Too bad cause it is a good brew.
