Not much aroma, just a slight hint of hop flower. Loses some points on appearance from clarity and lack of head. Pretty mild flavor but a good amount of bitterness (just right for an ESB.) Pretty good mouthfeel as well. This was definitely my favorite overall Deschutes brew. Just with it had more aroma.

Had on tap at brew pub in Bend. Clear reddish orange, looks like a sunset. Sweet smell. Slightly bitter but good flavor, front of tongue.

Nose is light and almost nonexistent. Taste is crisp and refreshing, but doesn’t take me by surprise. Overall very drinkable but nothing special.

Sampled from the tap at the street party. Pours a clear deep amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and biscuit with a bit of straw underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and straw with a bit of biscuit towards the end.

2016 Philly Beer Week draft at Deschutes Street Pub. Pours semi-opaque coppery color with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of caramel malt with a touch of pine. Body is a little lighter than medium and a touch watery. Dry finish. Caramel and nutty malt flavors, with a light citrus note at the back.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Hazy dark orange color, average sized off-white head. Weird unfresh aroma that I can’t really describe. Taste malts, sweetish, slight caramel. Flavor is ok, but I dislike the aroma.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours lightly hazy brown with a decent white head. The aroma is soft, bitter - sweet, toasted brown bread, cereal, toasted nut and light spice. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, cereal, spice, toffee, melon, pear drop, caramel, apple and fruit cake with a dry finish. Low - medium body and soft carbonation. Sweet and oily. Fair fruity ale.
