Bottle. Poured amber with thick white head. Aroma of malt, biscuit and fresh bread. Balanced flavour, malt, hops with a nice tang. Nice hoppy finish. A very worthy bitter.

Thank you Fran! Nice looking brew, dark honey brown good cap. Nice west coast hop aroma, some soap. Taste has a massive bitter. I like this brew. Fruity body with a soapy bitter finish. Pine, leather, other stuff. Did i mention this is making me salivate. This is more like an IPA then a English ESB but even though it crosses styles I’m digging it. not sure hoe to score it........my marks might be a touch high.

I like this one better than their pale ale--more hops but not enough to make it a bitter. Tastes more like a pale ale.

12 oz. bottle, pours a mostly clear coppery amber with an off-white head. Subtle nose of nuts, toffee, English malts and light hops. Flavour is fairly underwhelming, with nuts and toffee in the front, finishing with slightly caramely malts and a light hop character. Light body and palate, with not much going on. Decent, but uninteresting.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an amber caramel with a creamy head. Smells bready with some toffee and caramel malt and dull hops. Tastes of bread and toffee malt with a formidable hop background and later takes on a slight fruity note -- almost like a touch of marmalade, which sweetens the background flavors and ebbs into the dry bitter finish. Palate is very clean. Drinkable and interesting. Very nice.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate orange-copper color with a nice white head and a pretty good amount of lacing. The nose has some light malt as well as some floral and earthy hops. The taste strikes a nice balance between the hops and malt, with the mouthfeel surrendering to a bit of bitterness. Drinks quite well and this would be one nice brew to have locally. Lovely apricot bronze colour, good head retention with a few floaties from Bottle - a generous overpour.. Rich toffee nose. strong palate, marmalade and more toffee and an earthy rich dry hop finish. Could really drink pints of this!

12 oz bottle. Hazy golden orange with a thin off white head. Aroma of biscuit dough, lemon, light caramel and herbal tea. The flavor is light malty sweetness and a very light hop bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation and a slick mouth feel. Good easy drinking beer with plenty of flavor.

aroma- caramel malt, sugar, spruce, bread, some floral and spruce notes. pours rich amber with little head. taste is caramel, sugar, some bread, spruce, bitter earthiness, grass, crystal malt, some roasted malt. palate is clean, refreshing and light in body with nice carbonation. goes down smooth.
