2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft at Stone Sour Fest.
Who the hell knows, slightly tart apple juice with a bit of plastics for good measure. One of the worst beers at the festival, regrettable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Churchills, San Marcos. Yellow/amber with a pure white head. Aroma of tart, sour yeast, wheat, lactic acid and musty barnyard. The flavor is mellow lactic acid, wheat, and some very mellow hop bitterness. Light body with active carbonation and a light refreshing mouth feel. I liked this one a lot, very light and drinkable.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
I had this beer at Churchill’s in San Marcos during the New Brew Thursday 1st Anniversary Party. I just didn’t like this beer; it had a chemical/medicinal sourness that I didn’t like

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A: The pour is a fairly clear amber color with no head and not much in terms of visible carbonation.
S: The nose is like apple cider vinegar--good in barbecue sauce, but not my beer. A bit of bourbon, solvent, and plastic as well.
T: Plenty of sweet, apple juice flavor, some alcohol, bourbon and perhaps a hint of butter. Certainly an interesting mix of flavors, unfortunately, they don’t have a favorable result.
M: The body is medium and the beer is quite slick on the tongue due to the lack of carbonation.
D: Deschutes strikes again with another really bad sour beer. It’s too bad, because they’re regular stuff is quite good.
